Wells Wins GICC Golf Invite. Northwest 5th. GICC finishes 6th.
(Grand Island, NE) - It was quite the loaded field for the GICC golf invite at Indianhead Golf Course on Tuesday. Kearney Catholic won the team standings with a 297. Columbus Scotus came in 2nd with a 310, and Adams Central finished 3rd with a 312. St Paul (313), Northwest (318), and GICC (320) fell into the next three spots with Crete finishing 7th at 323.
St Paul's Sam Wells finished as the invite champ firing a 68. Right behind him was Nick Fleming of Scotus with a 69 and Nash Malone of Kearney Catholic also shooting a 69. Jack Alberts shot a 71 and Kyle Kelly chiped in a 73. The Northwest Vikings were led by Cole Martin who fired a 74 for 6th place and Myles Erickson shot a 74 to finish 7th.
