Northwest Continues To Push For Answers From CDHD
The process to find answers and get students back to the classroom has proved difficult at Northwest.
Friday KRGI News learned that nearly 100 students had been contacted by the Central District Health Department and ordered to quarantine due to possible exposure to Covid-19, yesterday we learned that even if those students test negative, and are showing no symptoms, they are to remain in quarantine. Teresa Anderson the director of the CDHD made that announcement from City Hall.
The quarantine situation has directly affected school policy at Northwest for the time being, and until otherwise announced, masks are mandatory throughout all school buildings.
Dr. Jeff Edwards says the district has continued to push to get some of the quarantined students back to the classroom, especially given new directed health measures that only add to the confusion.
Edwards hopes moving forward that the Northwest administration can have more input on how to handle these situations moving forward.
