
Parks and Recreation Department Increases Lifeguard Pay

Grand Island, Neb.— The Grand Island Parks and Recreation is now hiring lifeguards.
The benefits to becoming a lifeguard include:
-FREE training is provided
-Flexible hours
-Valuable career experience
-NEW increased starting wage of $13 per hour with the potential for more
The Grand Island pools are currently slated to open Memorial Day weekend and operate through the middle of August. City lifeguards have the opportunity to work at both Island Oasis and Lincoln Pool. The minimum age to become a lifeguard is 15 years old. The Parks and Recreation Department provides lifeguard training.
