1 Million Cups Grand Island Celebrates 6-Month Milestone with Community Celebration

Grand Island, Neb. — 1 Million Cups Grand Island is excited to celebrate six months of weekly gatherings that highlight and support local entrepreneurs. Since its launch, the event has become a midweek staple, consistently drawing a crowd of business owners, community leaders, and entrepreneurship supporters every Wednesday morning.

To mark this milestone,on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 8:30 AM at the Central Community College- Entrepreneurship Center, there will be a community celebration. The morning will include refreshments, a reflection on the past six months of entrepreneurial stories, and a community coffee cheers to future growth and innovation.

The numbers speak for themselves—an estimated 1,450 cups of coffee have been shared over the past 6 months between attendees. That’s 1,450 cups on the journey toward the ultimate goal of one million cups enjoyed together in Grand Island!

1 Million Cups is a free, nationwide program powered by the Kauffman Foundation that educates, engages, and connects entrepreneurs. Grand Island is proud to be one of many communities across the U.S. fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem through this initiative.

Everyone is always welcome—whether familiar with the program or curious to experience it for the first time. The celebration offers a chance to connect, collaborate, and cheer on the entrepreneurs shaping the future of Grand Island and beyond.
