15 killed on Nebraska roadways in December

Lincoln, Neb — During the month of December 2025, fifteen people were killed in traffic crashes on Nebraska roadways, according to data collected by the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

¨      These 15 fatalities occurred in 15 fatal crashes.

¨      Four of the nine vehicle occupants killed were not using seatbelts, four were using a seatbelt, and
one had seatbelt usage marked as unknown.

¨      Ten of the fatalities were in rural locations*.

¨      There was one fatality on the interstate, seven on other highways, and seven on local roads.

¨      Four of the fatalities were pedestrians.

¨      One of the fatalities was a bicyclist.

¨      One of the fatalities was an occupant of a motorized wheelchair.

¨      One of the fatalities was riding an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
