"Railside Christmas" Returns to Downtown Grand Island November 21
Grand Island, Neb. — The magic of the holidays is returning to Downtown Grand Island as Railside hosts its annual Railside Christmas celebration on Friday, November 21 from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Families are invited to follow the wagon carrying Santa Claus through downtown to the official tree lighting ceremony at Amur Plaza on Third Street. The evening will sparkle with festive entertainment, delicious food, family activities and plenty of holiday cheer for all ages.
Visitors can enjoy wagon rides, meet favorite holiday characters and take photos with Santa and his reindeer. Children will find games and crafts, while adults can explore downtown boutiques and local vendors for early holiday shopping. The sights and sounds of the season will fill the air with live holiday music at the Plaza stage, and a variety of restaurants and food trucks will offer sweet treats and savory fare throughout the evening.
In addition to the festivities, attendees can enter for a chance to win free tickets to upcoming Heartland Events Center concerts and events! Railside Christmas is a beloved Grand Island tradition that brings the community together to celebrate the spirit of the season in the heart of downtown.
