Red Flag Warning Thursday

Key Message #1: The Fire Weather Watch has been UPGRADED to a Red Flag Warning for tomorrow (Thursday). The warning will be in effect from 12PM until 9PM for much of south central Nebraska and north central Kansas. 

Key Message #2: Southwesterly winds will blow between 20-30MPH with occasional gusts as high as 35MPH. These winds paired with dry conditions (afternoon relative humidity values falling as low as 15-25%) will create widespread critical fire weather concerns across the full area. 

Key Message #3: Fires underneath these dry and windy conditions will be able to spread quickly. Use extreme caution if engaging in any outdoor activity that can spark a fire. Outdoor burning in not recommended.
