Aurora Baseball Shoots for Post-Season Upset Against CC-C

Aurora travels to Central City for a matchup with Central City-Centura in the opening round of the C-3 District tournament at Kernel Field. The Huskies (5-16) will try to break a seven game skid. Aurora has been close, taking both Crete and Raymond Central to extra innings before falling in the last two games of the regular season.

Dylan Ronnau has taken the batting average lead for the Huskies at 349. He also has a 2-3 record on the mound with a 3.46 ERA. Sawyer Kiner leads the team in RBI (19). Jack Carstensen tops the team in runs scored (24).

Central City-Centura (15-5) begins its quest for a sixth straight state appearance. Colbyn Peters leads the team in batting average (421), home runs (3), and is tied for first in RBI (24). Conner Erickson hits 407. He's tied for first in RBI, and leads the team in runs scored (24). 

Erickson leads a quartet of talented pitchers with a  7-1 record, a save, and 0.98 ERA. Peters is 1-1 with two saves and a 0.51 ERA.  Luke Vakiner is 3-1 with a save and a 2.62 ERA. Parker Zikmund is 3-1 with a 2.33 ERA.
