Aurora BB Opens with Sweep

The Aurora girls broke an eight game losing streak to Adams Central with a 36-31 win in the season opener. The Huskies scored the first eight points of the fourth quarter and never trailed again. Adi Fahrnbruch and Kaitlin Staehr each had 10 to pace the Huskies. 

The Aurora boys handed Kevin Asher his 500th career head coaching victory in a 49-43 win over the Patriots. Parker Smith ignited a 10-2 run after AC had tied the game at 39. Smith hit five threes and scored 15 points. Ryan Staehr scored 11 of his 13 in the first. Booker Scheierman added 11.
