Aurora Drops Regular Season Finale

Aurora Huskies Baseball Ball Chalk

Aurora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 12-9 to the Raymond Central Mustangs.

Knox Suchanek was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Aurora got a massive performance out of Wyatt Pollett, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Dylan Ronnau, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Aurora's record is now 5-16. As for Raymond Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Aurora plays at Central City against Central City-Centura Thursday in the C-3 District Tourney. Pregame 1:45 on 97.3 the Wolf.

Raymond Central will challenge St. Paul/Palmer at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at Malcolm in the C-1 District. Pregame at 3:15 on 103.1 KJ Country.
