Aurora Pulls Away from Central City

Aurora pounded out a season high 17 hits and pulled away from Central City 13-3. The Huskies scored five in the third to take command. Sherly Gonzalez hit her first home run of the year to cap the inning. 

After the Bison made it a 6-3 game after three, Aurora added four in the sixth and three in the seventh. Josie Fink allowed only one earned run and struck out six in her 10th win of the season. She also had the first three-hit game of her career. 

Kierra Siebrass went 4-5 with an RBI and a run scored. Vivi Fahrnbruch, Makaylah McCartney, and Gonzalez each had two hits.

Brooklyn Steinke, Maci Peters, and Delaney Bandt all had two hits for the Bison. 

The Huskies make several defensive adjustments after starting catcher Londyn Teahon left the game with a finger injury in the third.

Coach Ashton Voss spoke after the game on 97.3 the Wolf.

Aurora battles Centura/Central Valley at 9am Saturday at the Northwest Tournament.
