Aurora VB Sweeps GICC
Aurora earned a 3-0 sweep of Grand Island Central Catholic at the Crusader Gym on Tuesday. Ava Myers had three long service runs in each set to help the Huskies take command. She finished with 17 service points. Kaitlyn Staehr had 15 kills for the Huskies. Elizabeth Luebbe contributed 14.
There was drama in the third set. Aurora took a 20-7 lead and led 23-13 before the Crusaders rallied to lead 25-24. The Huskies held off two set points before securing the sweep 29-27. Ava Waind and Eastlyn Hubl each had big service runs in the comeback. Alexa Porter had 13 kills to lead the Crusaders.
