Teraya Sigler finished with a career-high 15 kills to lead four Nebraska players with double-digit kills in a 25-13, 20-25, 25-19, 25-14 win over No. 13 Purdue on Saturday at John Cook Arena at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Nebraska (19-0, 8-0 Big Ten) hit .303 and finished with 12 blocks, holding Purdue (11-6, 4-4 Big Ten) to a .133 hitting percentage. As a team, the Huskers also tallied a season-high 64 digs.

Nebraska extended its regular-season home winning streak to 61, including 59 matches at the John Cook Arena at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. The Huskers also picked up their eighth win against a ranked opponent this season.

Along with Sigler’s 15 kills, Harper Murray (13), Virginia Adriano (11), and Manaia Ogbechie (10) all eclipsed 10 kills, marking the first time since the 2024 season four Huskers finished with double-digit kills in a Big Ten match.

Senior setter Bergen Reilly finished with 44 assists, 15 digs, and five blocks for her fifth double-double of the season. Reilly became the second Husker in the rally-scoring era with at least 40 assists, 15 digs, and five blocks in a match, joining Kelly (Hunter) Natter in 2017 against Penn State.

Defensively, Olivia Mauch recorded a career-high 21 digs and Andi Jackson paced the Big Red with six blocks – one of three Huskers with five-or-more stuffs.

Set 1: Nebraska dominated the first set, 25-13, holding Purdue to just seven kills against six attack errors. The Boilermakers led for the only time at 3-2 before the Huskers rattled off five straight points with Murray at the service line, highlighted by a pair of Jackson kills, to take a 7-3 lead. Reilly then broke the set open from the service line, following her own kill with a five-point run that included an ace and pushed the margin to 14-5. Purdue managed its only real push with back-to-back kills to pull within 19-13, but Reilly returned to the line and served the final five points of the set. Adriano led Nebraska with five kills, while Reilly handed out 14 assists as the Huskers totaled 17 kills with only two attack errors and three blocks.

Set 2: Purdue evened the match with a 25-20 win in the second set. The team traded the lead through the early going, with the Huskers erasing a 9-6 deficit on three straight points to tie it at nine on kills by Sigler and Murray. With Purdue up 12-11, the Boilermakers went on a 6-0 run to jump out to an 18-11 lead, which marked Nebraska’s largest deficit of the match. The Huskers fought back within 19-17 behind a string of Purdue errors, but two kills and an ace pushed the Boilermakers to set point. Purdue finished off the set with a kill to even the match after Ogbechie’s kill saved the first set point.

Set 3: Nebraska regained control with a 25-19 win the third set, as Sigler took over down the stretch with six kills, including three of the Huskers’ final four points.  Purdue led 5-3, but Nebraska answered to tie it and went ahead for good at 9-8 on a Boilermaker error before Ogbechie’s kill made it 10-8. Back-to-back Sigler kills pushed the lead to 14-11, and a block assist from Ogbechie and Adriano extended it to 18-14. The Boilermakers pulled within 19-18 on two straight kills, but Nebraska closed on a 6-1 run, with Reilly’s solo block and consecutive kills from Sigler to end the set.

Set 4: Nebraska cruised to a 25-14 win in the fourth to close the match. With the score tied 8-8, the Huskers rattled off nine consecutive points to take a commanding 17-8 advantage and force a Boilermaker timeout. The Big Red hit .500 and finished with 12 kills in the set, finishing with five blocks and holding Purdue to a .029 hitting clip.

No. 1 Nebraska welcomes UCLA to John Cook Arena at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Thursday, Oct. 22. First serve between the Huskers and Bruins is set for 6 p.m. on FS1.
