Beatrice Downs Northwest Girls, 44-37

(Grand Island, NE) - The Northwest girls came up just short Friday night vs the Beatrice Lady O, 44-37. 

The Vikings would cling to a 23-19 lead at the end of the first half. Beatrice would then go on an 11-0 run to take a 30-23 lead with 3:00 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. The Vikings would trail 32-31 with 6:30 minutes left in the game, but that would be as close as Northwest would get. 

Callie Schwisow was superb for the Lady O, leading the charge with 20 points. Tatum Tempelmeyer would have 13 points. Laiken Dorsey would lead the way for Northwest with 7 points. Jolie O'Hara would have 6 points. 

Beatrice moves on to 15-6. Northwest slips to 12-9. The Vikings will be on the road Tuesday, February 17th, at Gretna. The girls' game is scheduled for 5:00 pm. Boys' games follow at approximately 6:45 pm. Listen to both games live on 103.1 FM & 2dayfm1031.com.
