OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton Men's Basketball's return to Las Vegas for the Players Era Men’s Championship will open with a pair of games against Big 12 Conference foes.

Creighton will play Baylor at 1 p.m. Central on Monday, Nov. 24th, followed by a game against Iowa State a day later on Nov. 25 at 1:30 p.m. Central.  A third game in the event will take place on either Nov. 26 or Nov. 27 depending on what seed each team earns after its first two games.

Venues and broadcast coverage will be announced at a later time.

The Bluejays are 4-2 all-time against Baylor, including an 85-76 win in Denver in the Second Round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament in the most recent meeting.

CU is 15-17 in 32 previous games against Iowa State. The teams last squared off on Dec. 4, 2021 in Omaha. The Nov. 25th game against Iowa State does not affect the October 17th exhibition game in Omaha between the programs that was announced in May.

This year's Players Era field features 18 of the nation's best men's programs (Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Creighton, Gonzaga, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Rutgers, San Diego State, St. John's, Syracuse, Tennessee and UNLV).

Creighton went 1-2 last November when the event debuted with eight teams, losing to San Diego State (71-53) and Texas A&M (77-73) before closing with an 80-76 win over Notre Dame.

Coached by Greg McDermott, the Bluejays finished 25-11 last season and are one of four programs in the country with an NCAA Tournament win each of the past five seasons.
