Bill to Maintain Child Care Subsidy Advances at Legislature

Nebraska Legislative News

A measure removed from the budget as part of a compromise, advanced independently at the Nebraska Legislature on Monday.

LB 304, the priority bill from senator Wendy DeBoer, would eliminate the sunset provision on the expanded eligibility for the childcare subsidy. This keeps the level at 185 percent of poverty instead of returning to the pre-covid level of 130 percent. District 41 Senator Fred Meyer of St Paul supports the bill.
