Cats rally; Stun Twin River at Home

The St. Paul/Palmer Cats fresh off back to back trips in Northeast Nebraska returned to the friendly confines of Grover Cleveland Alexander Field to take on the Twin River Titans.
The Cats fell behind early loading the bases then giving up a walk and a single before getting out of the inning down 2-0.
The Titans picked up insurance in the 3rd inning on an error in Center field to take a 3-0 lead. The Cats made the switch in the 4th inning from Zandyn Weller to Braxton Heater following a pitch count on Weller. Heater would get a strikeout to end the top of the 4th.
St. Paul/Palmer tried kick starting the offense in the bottom half of the frame but a 9-3 Double play killed momentum before the Cats could grab it.
The top of the 5th saw the final run for Twin River as they got a late run in off of a fielders choice to extend their lead to 4.
The Cats found life in both halves of the 6th inning with Braxton Heater striking out the side, 3 pitches from an immaculate inning.
The bottom of the 6th saw the Cats find the scoreboard with 7 hitters coming through the lineup closing the deficit to 4-3.
Heater faced 4 batters in the 7th logging his 5th strikeout in the process to give the Cats a chance in the bottom of the 7th.
Facing a new pitcher in the bottom half of the 7th St. Paul sent the top of the order up to bat only to have Weller and Heater strikeout to start the inning. The Cats finally were able to break through as Christian Lemburg started the 2 out rally with a single over the 3rd baseman to keep the game alive. Lemburg stole second as Alex Meinecke stepped up to the plate. Meinecke tattooed one to left tying the game as Lemburg came into score. The Cats wasted no time finishing the game off in style as Senior Levi Bader on the 2nd pitch of his at bat drilled one to left field scoring Alex completing the rally for the Cardiac Cats.
With the win St Paul improves to 6-4 on the year while Twin River falls to 4-4
