Central Nebraska Youth Track & Field Meet Registration Officially Open

Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Parks & Recreation Department is inviting local youth to participate in the Nebraska Youth Track & Field Meet, a free event open to boys and girls ages 8-13.

The local meet will take place on Wednesday, May 20 at Grand Island Northwest High School, with events beginning at 4:30 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to compete in a variety of track and field events while advancing their athletic skills in a fun and supportive environment.

The registration deadline is Saturday, May 16. There is no cost to participate, but all athletes must register in advance to be eligible. Top performers will have the chance to advance to the Nebraska State Youth Track & Field Meet, which will also be held in Grand Island on Saturday, June 13. The top-four finishers in each event at the local meet will qualify for the state meet.
