Century Mark For Sanchez - Viking Girls Down Crete, 10-0

(Grand Island, NE) - The Northwest girls soccer team would run away from Crete on Thursday night at Viking Field, 10-0 in a first-round match of the Central Conference soccer tournament. 

The first of ten goals on the night would come from senior Lupe Sanchez as she would score her 100th goal of her Viking career with 20:42 left in the first half. Sanchez would have two more goals in the 2nd half to complete the hat trick and now has 19 goals scored on the season to lead the Vikings. 

Evie Keller would have three goals in the match. A goal apiece would come from Leah Carlson, Anna Keller, Ava Smith, and Ava Waind. 

Northwest is now 8-2 on the season and will next be in action on Monday, April 21st, participating in the Central Conference tournament semi-finals in Seward. The Vikings will play either Seward or Lakeview at 2:00 pm. 

In boys' action, Crete defeated the Northwest Vikings by a final score of 3-1.
