City of Grand Island Awards $105,000 LB840 Grant to Launch Business Blueprint Workshop Series

Grand Island, Neb. — The City of Grand Island has approved a $105,000 LB840 grant to launch the Business Blueprint Workshop, a dynamic new program designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs in the trades industry.
Three six-week workshop series will provide foundational business training tailored specifically to individuals looking to start or grow a business in skilled trades such as construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and more.
The Business Blueprint Workshop will cover essential business topics—including planning, finance, marketing and operations—while incorporating real-world applications relevant to trades professionals. By the end of the program, participants will not only walk away with a comprehensive business plan, but also be eligible for a $3,000 LB840 grant to help launch or grow their business. These funds may be used for equipment, software, marketing, rental space or professional services.
