City of Hastings Adjusts Nuisance Property Complaints

Starting Oct. 1, 2026, the Development Services Department will take over all junk and nuisance property complaints. 

Development Services will focus on zoning code violations such as junk in yards and dilapidated buildings. To contact the Development Services Department, call (402) 461-2331.

Hastings Police Department Community Service Officers will still handle all parking, animal and tall grass complaints.
