Clouse joins Good Samaritan Foundation Board


Kearney, NE- CHI Health Good Samaritan Foundation welcomes LaVon Clouse to its Board of Directors. Clouse began serving a 3-year term July 1.

Clouse joins current board members Melissa Scott-Pandorf, Chair; Jon Watts, Vice-Chair; Angela Nickel, Secretary; Dick Beechner; Krista Fritson; Ellen Gitt; Steve Lowe; Tim Mannlein; P.J. O’Neill; Bob Rycek; Deb Schroeder; Cindy Walker and Rita Weber. She replaces outgoing board member Karen Bigelow.
 
The Good Samaritan Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the mission of Good Samaritan: to build healthy communities by providing health and wellness education, programs and quality medical care to all. The Foundation actively seeks, acquires and manages contributions from public and private sources, reinvesting them directly into the local community. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors composed of local leaders who have commitment to the importance of philanthropy and fulfilling the hospital’s mission.

LaVon Clouse, wife of Senator Stan Clouse, mother and grandmother, was raised on a Sandhills ranch in Cherry County. She has served on various boards in Ainsworth, NE, and held the position of North Central Regional Coordinator for the Nebraska Community Foundation. Recently retired from her role in marketing and promotions at the Kearney Hub, she is an active member of P.E.O. Chapter and New Life Church. Clouse served on the Kearney/Buffalo County CASA board and is currently a member of CHI Health Good Samaritan’s Patient and Family Advisory Council. Her interests include woodcarving, golf, yard work and watching football.
