Columbus Man Receives 78 Months After Selling Methamphetamine to Law Enforcement

United States Attorney Susan Lehr announced that Brandon Salyers, age 31, of Columbus, Nebraska, was sentenced on February 6, 2025, in federal court in Omaha, Nebraska, for Conspiracy to Distribute and Possess with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. Chief United States District Robert F. Rossiter, Jr. sentenced Salyers to 78 months’ imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system. After Salyers’s release from prison, he will begin a 3-year term of supervised release.
On October 29, 2023, law enforcement conducted a controlled drug buy against Salyers whereby they purchased 3.5 grams of actual methamphetamine in Nebraska. The next day, law enforcement again purchased 12 grams of actual methamphetamine from Salyers during another controlled drug buy. One month later, on November 30, 2023, law enforcement purchased less than 1 gram of methamphetamine from Salyers. On December 28, 2023, law enforcement arrested Salyers and located 12 grams of actual methamphetamine on his person along with glass pipes and 39 grams of marijuana.
