Cranes Battle Past Sliders
A trio of two-out, two-run singles was the difference in Grand Island 6-5 win over Salina on Thursday. Grand Island struck first as Sebastian Davila lined to left to bring home a pair in the opening frame.
After Salina scored five in a row. Ian Rodriguez delivered a single up the middle to make it 5-4 in the fourth. The next inning, Sam Dinkelman put GI up for good with a single to left.
Broxton Barrientos had a pair of hits. Dinkelman and Anderson Schirm each scored twice.
Colton Tanner worked four innings of one-hit relief for the win.

The win keeps Grand Islands hopes to host the DBL championship series. The Fightin' Cranes play their regular season home finale' against the Sliders at 7pm Friday.
