Creighton Volleyball Hosts Annual Blue/White Match

OMAHA, Neb. -- The White team topped the Blue team in four sets on Saturday in Creighton Volleyball's annual Blue/White exhibition. Scores in favor of the White side were 25-21, 25-19, 17-25, 25-16.
The match featured 13 ties and five lead changes as the teams combined to hit over .300 and served up 15 aces. All-Americans and former BIG EAST Tournament MVP's Kiana Schmitt, Norah Sis and Kendra Wait all returned to their alma mater and saw action alongside the 2025 squad, which enters the season ranked No. 12 nationally.
Seventeen of the 19 women who played saw time on both the Blue and the White side as the Bluejay staff juggled the line-ups in preparation for the regular-season.
Assistant coaches Adam Kessenich and Izzy Ashburn directed the White team to victory.
The match also provided the first look inside D.J. Sokol Arena this fall after the facility underwent more than $1 million in improvements in the off-season.
The Bluejays host Colorado State in an exhibition next Saturday (Aug. 16) at Noon to close out the preseason. CU opens the regular-season at the AVCA First Serve in Lincon on Aug. 23 against defending national champion and second-ranked Penn State.
