Crusaders Drop a Pair at Wahoo SB Triangular

The Grand Island Central Catholic Softball team battled through a tough hitting day in a pair of 6-1 losses at the Wahoo Triangular.

In the opener, Emily Price hit a solo homer in the first inning, but Wahoo's Emma Meyer responded by sitting down the next 20 batters. She struck out 12 in throwing a one hitter. The Warriors took control with a five run sixth. 

GICC's only offense in the second game came on a home run from Eva Tibbetts in the third inning. Freeman scored four in the fifth to break open a 2-1 game. Taelyn Lang struck out 11 for the Falcons.

The Crusaders are scheduled to make up a triangular at Centura/Central City with Central City on Wednesday. Next coverage will be Monday. GICC hosts Aurora and Hastings in a triangular in Doniphan on 97.3 the Wolf.
