Dangerous Heat Continues

Dangerous heat continues across the area today with an Extreme Heat Warning and Heat Advisory in effect until 8pm. Heat index values of 100-115 degrees are expected today with highs in the upper 90s to low 100s. Heat continues on Tuesday, but northern portions of the area may see a break from the heat. A few strong to marginally severe thunderstorms are possible Tuesday evening/night along a cold front. Cooler weather arrives Wednesday across the area.
