Engelman Road, north of US-30, will open

Aug. 4, 2025 (Grand Island, Neb.) — Engelman Road will be open to traffic on Wednesday, Aug. 6, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Werner Construction, of Hastings, will open Engelman Road between U.S. Highway 30 (US-30) and Stolley Park Road. Werner will remove the existing barricades, and traffic will resume on Engelman Road through the new US-30 Intersection. Road work will continue on US-30.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
