Fightin' Cranes Clinch Series Win

Grand Island held on for a 7-4 win over Fremont on Sunday. Jared Hardie worked eight innings of two-hit ball for the win. The Moo plated four in the 9th and had the tying runs on base when the game ended.

The Fightin' Cranes (11-2) took command with five in the third. Broxton Barrientos had a two run single. Beau Blackwell smashed a two-run double as part of the big inning. Barrientos later added a sacrifice fly. Every starter had a hit for Grand Island.  Burke Jasa hit a grand slam as part of his two-hit day for the Moo (4-10).

The same two teams conclude their three game series Monday night at 7pm at Ryder Park.
