Free Women’s Education–May 28 When & Why Teens Should See a Women’s Health Provider


GRAND ISLAND, NE--CHI Health St. Francis, in collaboration with CHI Health Clinic Women’s Health (Grand Island), is hosting a community education session at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28 in Conference Room 2/3 at the hospital. Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Chelsey Kennedy will present “When and Why Should a Teen See a Women's Health Provider.” 

Part of a new quarterly series focused on women’s health, this presentation is free and open to the community. 

Kennedy, board certified women's health and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, practices at CHI Health Clinic Women’s Health (Grand Island). 

CHI Health Clinic Women’s Health, located at 705 Orleans Drive, opened Feb. 8, 2021. The newly remodeled facility, featuring eight exam rooms and an on-site procedure and ultrasound room, focuses on the treatment and prevention of conditions unique to females at every stage of life–including adolescents. Patients receive expert care from puberty to pregnancy and prenatal care, to annual physicals, menopause management and more. These services emphasize the importance of preventive care, regular health screenings, nutrition and exercise in order to develop a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle. Dr. Amanda Stuelpnagel, board certified obstetrician and gynecologist; Chelsey Kennedy, WHNP, PMHNP; and certified nurse midwives Brandi Stein and Andrea Carkoski anchor the practice.
