GI Home Federal Defeats Papillion La Vista, 4-1

(Grand Island, NE) - Sam Dinkelman would lead the charge on Monday afternoon at Ryder Park with an elimination game victory, defeating Papillion La Vista, 4-1. 

Dinkelman would get a two-run home run in the top of the first inning to give GI an early 2-0 lead, and later would come in and pitch in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings to secure the win. 

GI would get one more run in the top of the first with an RBI single from Brock Cushing. Ian Arends would drive in a run in the top of the sixth right an RBI double. 

Ethan Coslor would get the start on the hill for Grand Island, going four innings, giving up one run, 2 hits, giving up four walks, and having four strikeouts.  Coslor would go on 70 pitches. Dinkleman, in relief, would toss 46 pitches.
