GI Home Federal Wins Three In Creighton Prep Tournament
(Gretna, NE) - The Grand Island Home Federal baseball team bounced back from three losses earlier in the week two win one game Thursday and two more on Friday. Grand Island would fall 3-2 in 14 innings at Kearney on Tuesday and then have a quick turnaround traveling to the Omaha metro Wednesday to play two games at Gretna's turf field. GI would fall to Gretna 2-0 and then drop a game to Rapid City 1-0.
Home Federal would then turn around and play on Thursday winning against De Pere 6-0. Friday GI would get two more wins defeating Rocky Mountain 13-5 and Lincoln East Carpet Land Rugs 3-1.
Grand Island is now 18-5 on the season. Next action on KRGI 1430/105.5 will be Tuesday, June 25th at Hastings Five Points Bank at 7:30 pm.
