GI Hometown Heros Unveiling Set

The Grand Island Hometown Heroes program has the first unveiling Tuesday May 21st. Holly Klimek visited with Brian Gallagher.

They’ll hang 51 banners in total for the first project. From Memorial day to Veterans day. The first group will hang for two seasons. The banners will be shown Tuesday May 21st, 6pm in the GISH Little Theatre. Some of the heroes and family members will be in attendance. They’ll be reading biographies from the heroes at the event. There will also be more information on the heroes soon on the Grand Island Hometown Heroes Facebook page.  The banners will be hung on the light poles from the Veterans Cemetary to just west of US 281.  Nominations for the next group of heroes will open January 1st.
