Location of Incident: UPRR / Blaine St
Brief Narrative: On 5/7/2025 at approximately 2107 hours, officers responded to a traffic hazard for a vehicle stalled on S. Blaine St. near the Union Pacific Railroad tracks with heavy front-end damage and appeared to have just been in an accident. At the same time, a Hit and Run Accident had been called in around the same area at 1003 W North Front St. Contact was made with the sole occupant and driver, confirmed to be Farhan Adan. While officers spoke with Farhan, open containers of alcohol were observed inside the vehicle. Farhan had bloodshot/watery eyes, slurred speech, odor of alcohol coming from his breath, and was unsteady on his feet. Farhan would admit to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to operating his motor vehicle and also stated that his vehicle had just been involved in an accident nearby, but he was not driving at the time. Farhan would refuse to perform SFSTs but would consent to a PBT. Farhan would submit a failing PBT sample. A further records check showed Farhan to have an active Buffalo County warrant for Assault by Strangulation and Terroristic Threats as well as a Suspended license out of Kansas. Farhan was taken into custody and transported to the Hall County Jail. At the jail, Farhan would provide another failing breath sample on the Datamaster indicating impairment. Farhan was charged with DUI-2nd Offense, Driving Under Suspension, Possession of an Open Container, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, and his Buffalo County warrant for Assault by Strangulation and Terroristic Threats

Brief Narrative: While responding to a disturbance call at a residence, male was on scene and provided law enforcement with a fake name and birth date. Male's wallet was found nearby next to a tree. The wallet contained the male's Nebraska ID card. GIEC advised male had an active Felony warrant. Male was arrested for the Hall County Warrant CR23-480 FTA Assault III FO and False Reporting, due to providing false name and birth date.

Brief Narrative: On 5/07/2025 at 5/07/2025 at 1842 hours, GIPD Officer were dispatched to 209 W 9th St regarding a burglary. The victim reported that between 5/01/2025 at 1700 hours to 5/07/2025 at 1842 hours, unknown suspect(s) broke into his home and stole property. The suspect(s) forced entry through the front door causing damage to the door. The door is valued at $300.00. The property stolen was valued at $9020.00. Case is open.
