Offense: Suspicious Person/Drugs/Attempted Burglary
Victim: Incident #: L24090638
Offender: Christopher Underwood
Date and Time of Incident: 5:31 am 9/9/24
Location of Incident: 604 Sherman Ave

Brief Narrative: On 09-09-2024 at approximately 05:31 hours a suspicious call was dispatched to 604 Sherman Ave where the reporting party advised two unknown people were attempting to get into the residence. A male who was identified as Christopher Underwood, was contacted outside the residence in the back yard where the side garage door was observed open. Christopher was detained and read Miranda Rights. A defaced prescription bottle with crystalline substance inside was located on Christopher's pants pocket. Christopher claimed the bottle had Marijuana in it. The bottle was removed and the substance inside was identified as Methamphetamine. Christopher was placed under arrest, transported to Hall County Department of Corrections and booked in without incident. Possession of controlled substance (meth) 28-416 IV FO.

Offense: Suspicious Person/Assault on Police Officer
Victim: 47 yr. old male Incident #: L24090667
Offender: Daniel Haller
Date and Time of Incident: 1:08 pm 9/9/24
Location of Incident: 1407 W 2nd St
Brief Narrative: Daniel Haller was contacted on the east side of 1503 W 2nd St, after officers were investigating a separate incident. Daniel was advised to leave the premises, and began to walk away. However, a short time later, Daniel came running through the parking lot. A Grand Island Police Department’s Patrol Sergeant was seated in his patrol vehicle with the window rolled down, as Daniel slapped the Sergeant’s vehicle, and proceeded to hit the Sergeant in the face, causing pain. Daniel was subsequently arrested, and transported to Hall County Department of Corrections.

Offense: Traffic Stop/Possession of Stolen Property
Victim: Ten Point Buck Construction Incident #: L24090721
Offender: 16 yr. old male & 14 yr. old male
Date and Time of Incident: 1:17 am 9/10/24
Location of Incident: 2300 N Webb Rd
Brief Narrative: On 09/10/2024, officers contacted a 16 year old juvenile male in possession of a stolen white utility vehicle. The 16 year old was not able to provide a valid driver’s license. Officers then contacted a 14 year old juvenile male in possession of a stolen white work pickup truck. The 14 year old male would not be able to provide a valid driver’s license. Officers were advised the utility vehicle cost $34,000 with an estimated value of $60,000 worth of equipment and tools on the back of the vehicle. Offense: Attempted Burglary
Victim: 25 yr old male Incident #: L24090702
Date and Time of Incident: 3:00 am – 7:14 pm 09/09/24
Location of Incident: 812 W John St
Brief Narrative: On 09/09/2024 at 2114 hrs Officers were dispatched to 812 John St for a reported burglary attempt call for service. The incident is still under investigation. Attempted Burglary 28-507 III FO.
