Offense: Fraud
Victim: 33 year old female Incident #: L24080755
Date and Time of Incident: between 7/4/24 & 8/9/24
Location of Incident: 2507 Sothman Dr
Brief Narrative: Victim came to the police station and reported that a party known to her, without her knowledge or permission, made several charges on her credit card. Initial investigation found that the offense occurred either in Lincoln, Nebraska or California. Case is under investigation.

Offense: Sexual Assault of a Child
Victim: 10 year old female Incident #: L24080759
Date and Time of Incident: 8/5/24
Location of Incident: Within City Limits
Brief Narrative: Party came to the police station to report an alleged sexual assault of  a child that has occurred within the city limits of Grand Island. Case is under investigation.

Offense: Flight to Avoid Arrest
Victim: Incident #: L24080762
Offender: Heather Rodriguez
Date and Time of Incident: 8/9/24 @ 14:18
Location of Incident: Arapahoe & Pawnee Pl
Brief Narrative: Heather Rodriguez was positively identified as the driver of a vehicle with no registration. Heather's vehicle fled the scene as Officers initiated a traffic stop, in order to avoid arrest. The vehicle fled the residential area at a high rate of speed, in a reckless manner. Rodriguez has been referred for Flight to Avoid Arrest.

Offense: Domestic Assault
Victim: Incident #: L24080889
Offender: Logan Gregory & Corinna Gregory
Date and Time of Incident: 8/10/24 @ 23:52
Location of Incident: 3212 W 18th St
Brief Narrative: On 8/10/24 at approximately 2350 hrs, officers were detailed to 3212 W. 18th in reference to a disturbance there. Officers arrived on scene and found Logan Gregory and his wife, Corinna Gregory, had both been involved in a physical altercation with each other and both sustaining minor injuries. During the altercation, it was reported Logan had placed his hands around Corinna's neck and squeezed, causing her to not be able to breathe for a short time. Injuries consistent with this allegation were observed on Corinna's neck. During the altercation, Corinna broke a cell phone belonging to Logan that was valued at $1,160. Logan was placed under arrest for Strangulation and 3rd Degree Domestic Assault. Corinna was issued a citation for 3rd Degree Domestic Assault and Criminal Mischief.

Offender: Chad Wendte
Date and Time of Incident: 8/10/24 @ 23:19
Location of Incident: 2241 N Diers Ave
Brief Narrative: On 8/10/2024 at approximately 2319 hours, Officers were dispatched to a Citizens Assist at Discount Tire, located at 2241 N Diers Ave. Upon Officer's arrival, contact was made with a male identified from prior law enforcement contacts as Chad Wendte. Wendte was requesting Officers to transport him to the area of Mid Plains, located at 914 Baumann Dr. to wait for an open bed available for detox. Officers would then transport Wendte to the area. As Officers opened the door to their patrol unit to let Wendte out, a small bag of Methamphetamine that was not there prior was located on the floorboard to where Wendte had been seated. Wendte was taken into custody for the Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Location of Incident: 319 S Walnut; Apt 302
Brief Narrative: Victim reported being chased by a male wielding a knife and yelling that he was going to kill him. The investigation is ongoing.
