Brief Narrative: On 08/08/2025 at approximately 1920 hours, Officers performed a follow up at 1603 N Vine St regarding a shoplifting theft at Walmart North. Officers contacted Jamie Burnett, who is a suspect of shoplifting on a prior date. Jamie was arrested for Theft-shoplifting $501 1,499/2nd/subs.

Brief Narrative: On 08/08/2025, officers were dispatched to 2703 E US Hwy 30, Lazy V Apts, regarding a weapons offense. It was reported that William Ellis and Justin Smidt both used knives during a verbal confrontation. William stated that during a verbal altercation, Justin brandished a hunting knife and approached him while he was in his mother's vehicle. Justin stated that William brandish a pocketknife and approached him while they were both outside in the parking lot. Both William Ellis & Justin Smidt were arrested for Terroristic Threats and Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony.

Brief Narrative: Boarder's Inn and Suites reported a non-guest male came into the hotel, ate at the breakfast buffet and left without paying. He was confronted by staff and ran off after being
questioned. This male was later located, admitted to the theft. Boarder's Inn and Suites reported a $10 loss for the unpaid breakfast. He was identified as Rowdy Skinner and provided he was homeless and was placed under arrest. He was also found to have an active Douglas County Warrant that was confirmed. Skinner was arrested for Theft and his Douglas County Warrant CR25-3370 FTA: Possession of Controlled Substance
