Brief Narrative: A black Chevrolet Equinox was observed driving eastbound on Capital Avenue from Grand Island Avenue in excess of the posted speed limit as verified by radar. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle as the vehicle operator turned off the vehicle's lights. The vehicle accelerated without due regard for other motorists on the roadway. The traffic stop was terminated due to the reckless actions of the driver. This case is open.
