GICC Basketball Splits On The Road
(Hastings, NE) - The GICC basketball teams hit the road south to take on Adams Central on Saturday, January 28th. The GICC girls would claim the first game 46-36. It was the third win in a row for the Crusader girls. Anna Tibbetts led GICC with 19 points and Byrndal Moody would have 13 points. The AC boys would snag the second contest 51-42. GICC would only fall for the third time this season and would see their ten-game winning streak come to an end. GICC would get 14 points from Thomas Liban and 12 from Bryalon Wolfe.
GICC girls now 9-6 will take a trip to Wahoo to take on Bishop Neumann for a quarter-final matchup in the Centennial Conference tournament on Tuesday, January 28th. The GICC boys now 12-3 will await the winner of Aquinas vs Bishop Neumann who play on Monday, the winner will play at Central Catholic on Tuesday.
Adams Central girls are now 7-7 on the season and will host Crete on Tuesday, January 28th in the quarter-finals of the Central Conference tournament. The AC boys are now 9-6 and will host Lakeview on Tuesday in their quarter-final matchup.
