GICC Football Advances To State Semi's

(Grand Island, NE) - The GICC football team picked up a quarter-final playoff win on Friday night over Fremont Archbishop Bergan, 31-14. 

The Crusaders are now 10-1 on the season with the win and will take on Ord on Friday, November  14th. The Chantacliers picked up a road win at Hartington Cedar Catholic, 27-21. The Chants scored the game-winning touchdown with under a minute remaining in the game, giving the Trojans their only loss and ending their season. Ord enters the semi-finals with a record of 8-3. 

This will be the second meeting of the year between GICC and Ord. The Chants defeated GICC, 21-14, back on October 3rd. 

Bergan ends their season with a record of 9-2.
