GICC SB Falls Late

North Platte rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh for a 9-8 win over GICC. The Crusaders had taken a 5-0 lead after a half inning and never trailed until the final at bat. 

GICC missed opportunities to take command, out hitting the Bulldogs 18-8 and stranding 11. The Crusaders lost four runners on the basepaths. 

Jacie Palik went 4-4, doubled twice  knocked in one and scored twice. Kendall Posey was 3-4 with her first homer. She doubled, knocked in two and scored once. Eva Tibbetts was 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Jocelyn Price was 2-4 with a double and a run scored. Addy Bishop went 2-5 with a double and run scored. 

GICC competes in the Bishop Neumann Tourney on Saturday. Next coverage of the Crusaders will be next Thursday against Northwest on KRGI.
