GICC SB Pulls Away From Ord

The Crusader Softball team used three four-run innings in a 14-8 win over Ord on Tuesday. After taking a 5-1 lead after two, Ord rallied with five in the third for a 6-5 lead. 

GICC scored four runs on four hits to take the lead for good in the 6th. Jacie Palik homered for the first time this season. She went 3-5, knocked in three and scored four times. Eva Tibbetts was 3-5 with three runs batted in and two runs scored. Jocelyn Price was 2-3 and scored twice. Ava Delgado hit her team-leading third home run.

Kendall Posey worked the final four innings, allowing two runs on two hits for her first varsity win. 

The Crusaders play Aurora at the Seward tournament on Saturday. Next coverage will be Tuesday at North Platte on AM 1430 KRGI/105.5FM.
