GICC Volleyball Falls At Scotus
(Columbus, NE) - Tuesday night on 99.7 Jett FM, the GICC volleyball team would fall at Columbus Scotus, 3-1. 19-25, 20-25, 25-22, 15-25.
The Crusaders would fight in the first two sets but could not get a rally together down the stretch to close the gap in the final points vs the Shamrocks.
GICC would come out blazing in the third set, forcing several Scotus mistakes to run out to a 10-2 lead. The Shamrocks would tie the set at 13 and later 16 all. The two teams would then trade points but eventually the Crusaders would gain a lead for good at 18-17, leading to the set three victory.
Scotus would prove to be to much in the fourth set. The two teams would be tied at 12, then the Shamrocks would take the lead for good, 13-12, as GICC tried to slow the momentum with a timeout, but Scotus would run away with the set to claim the match.
