GICC Volleyball Hits The Road To St Cecilia Thursday

(Hastings, NE) - The Grand Island Central Catholic volleyball team will hit the road Thursday, September 4th, taking on Hastings St Cecilia. 

The Crusaders come into the match with a 2-0 record, opening up the season with a 3-1 win over Kenesaw on August 28th. GICC would then defeat Blue Hill on September 2nd, 3-0. 

St Cecilia enters the match with a 2-1 mark. The Hawkettes have wins over Centennial and Aquinas, and the lone loss came at the Kearney Catholic triangular on August 30th vs Kearney Catholic, falling, 2-0. 

The Crusaders have a new head coach for the 2025 season. Melinda Podany takes over after a previous head coach stop at O'Neill St Mary's.
