GILT Junior Plans Next Show

GILT Jr (a part of Grand Island Little Theatre) presents their ninth production. “On the Other Side of the Fence” book, lyrics and music by Andrea Green. This show will be presented by students Saturday June 27 at 1PM and 3PM at College Park Auditorium, 3180 W Highway 34, Grand Island. Performances will be open to the public. Cost is $5 per person.

This production is a culmination of weeklong classes, workshops, and rehearsals for students 3 rd through 8 th grades. These workshops held from June 22 to June 26 include theatrical make up, set work, backstage, character creation, audition preparation, singing, choreography and more. The team in charge of the teaching are made up of certified teachers, paraeducators or former teachers, as well as former and current theatre students and adults involved in theatre, from Grand Island and surrounding areas. The assembled team represents more than 200 years of working with children and over 400 years of theatre experience. 52 students are involved in this weeklong camp and production. Gilt Jr Coordinators are Leah Borer, Hayden Honomichl, Randi Pennell and Barry Carlson. Accompanist is Randi Pennell. Jeannee Fossberg is Producer.
