GILT Presents Fall Show, 'Now and Then'

Grand Island Little Theatre announces the first show of the 2026-2027 season, the romantic comedy “Now and Then” by Sean Grennan. Show dates are October 9, 10, 16, and 17 at 7:30PM and October 11 and 18 at 2PM at College Park Auditorium, 3180 West US Highway 34, Grand Island.
Sometimes what happens after last call just might change your life. One night in 1981, just as Jamie is closing the bar where he works, a desperate last-minute customer offers him and his girlfriend Abby, two thousand dollars to sit and have a drink with him. Who wouldn’t take it? As the trio swaps stories, Jamie considers the decisions he faces about his musical career and his future with his girlfriend Abby. “Now and Then” is a heartfelt romantic comedy about the costs of the choices we make.
Cast members are Jana Thompson as Abby, Chris Hemmer as Jamie, Teresa Wayne as Woman and Ron Jelinek as Man.
Directors are Coree Sattley and Steven Gobel. Jeannee Mueller Fossberg is Producer. Marilyn Williams is Stage Manager.
Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for students 12 and under, includes tax and processing fee, and can be purchased by calling the Grand Island Little Theatre box office at 308-382-2586, at the door or online through link available on Gilt’s website www.githeatre.org.
Student tickets MUST be purchased at Grand Island Little Theatre. Box office hours are Monday through Thursday 9AM to 1PM. Group discounts are available.
The Soda Shop, Grand Island’s Dirty Soda Shop will have show themed fountain sodas, as well as custom fountain sodas for sale one hour before the show starts and at intermission.

Auditions Set for Winter Show
Grand Island Little Theatre is announcing auditions for the Christmas show of the 2026-2027 season, the holiday comedy “Silver Belles”, by Lauren Grove. Audition dates are Monday October12 and Tuesday October 13 7:30 to 9PM at College Park, 3180 West US Highway 34, Grand Island. Use the backstage double doors, located on the southwest corner of the auditorium, Door #3. Production dates are December 9-13.
Come celebrate the holidays with the Silver Belles! While the ladies of Silver Meadows Retirement Home are getting ready for Christmas, scheming mogul Frank Davenport has plans to evict them and turn their home into a luxury hotel. But when Frank’s son Nick is sent to deliver the news, he discovers his old flame Kate is Silver Meadows’ fiercely dedicated manager. The more time he spends with her and the wise, witty, wonderful women under her care, the harder it gets to tell the truth – but, luckily for him, the Belles know a thing or two about handling life and love. Cast needed includes 14 to 20 men and women of various ages. You will be asked to read from a script, that will be provided.
