GIPD to Conduct Child Restraint Safety Operations
Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Police Department will be conducting a series of child restraint safety operations this fall near elementary schools across the city.
The initiative, which is scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 8th through October 22nd, is designed with education and compliance in mind. Officers will be present during school drop-off times to observe child passenger safety practices and provide guidance to parents and guardians.
The goal is to ensure that children are traveling safely and correctly in vehicles, in accordance with state child restraint laws and best practices.

9/15 Stolley Park Elementary
9/17 Knickrehm Elementary
9/22 Jefferson elementary
9/24 Howard Elementary
9/29 Lincoln Elementary
