Good Samaritan Welcomes First Baby of New Year


KEARNEY, NE – CHI Health Good Samaritan welcomes the arrival of its first baby of 2026—a girl!

Harlow Maxine Briggs was born at 10:31 pm on January 1, 2026. She weighed 8 pounds and measured 20 ½ inches long, marking a joyful start to the new year for the hospital.

Proud parents Zach and Kelsie Briggs of Broken Bow, NE, are overjoyed to welcome their daughter. Harlow joins an excited four-year-old big sister, Haizyn.

Dr. Jesse Loeffler was the delivering physician.

“This is a wonderful moment for the Briggs family, and we feel privileged to have been part of their journey. Our warmest congratulations and heartfelt best wishes go to Zach, Kelsie, Haizyn and Harlow as they embark on this exciting new chapter,” says Karen Rohwer, Manager, Good Samaritan Maternity Center.
