Grand Island City Offices Closed for Christmas, New Year's Day
Grand Island, Neb. — All city offices and departments will be closed in Grand Island for the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays, but there will be a few variations on particular closures to make note of.
Jackrabbit Run Golf Course will be closed from Tuesday, December 24 through Sunday, January 5. On Monday, January 6, the offices will return to normal winter hours, which are 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., with the driving range opening if temperatures are above 40 degrees.
The Grand Island Public Library will be closing at Noon on Christmas Eve, and will reopen on Thursday, December 26. The library will also close early on New Year’s Eve with a 6 p.m. closure. They will then reopen on Thursday, January 2.
The Grand Island Community Fieldhouse will also have reduced hours on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, as it will be open from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on those days. All other city offices and departments will be closed only on Christmas and New Year’s Day.
