Grand Island Parks & Recreation Introduces New One-Stop Reservation Page for Outdoor Spaces

Grand Island, Neb. — As warmer weather arrives and outdoor activities ramp up, the City of Grand Island Parks & Recreation Department is reminding residents that park shelters, athletic fields and other outdoor spaces are now available to reserve for the 2026 season.

Whether planning a family gathering, birthday party, company picnic, youth practice or community event, Grand Island Parks & Recreation offers a variety of reservable spaces across Grand Island to fit every need. To make the process easy and convenient, the City has a centralized online reservation page where residents can view available locations, learn about amenities while securing their preferred date.

“Spring and summer are some of the busiest times in our parks, and we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to plan ahead,” said Parks & Recreation Director Todd McCoy. “By reserving your space in advance, you can ensure your event runs smoothly and you get the location that works best for you.”

Available reservations include park shelters, athletic fields and other designated park spaces throughout the community and early booking is encouraged. Residents can now explore all options and make reservations by visiting: https://www.giparks.com/reservations

For additional information or assistance with reservations, you can also contact the Grand Island Parks & Recreation Department at (308) 389-0290.
